Montecristo is the best known and, perhaps, the most appreciated Habanos brand and is considered by many to be the benchmark for Habanos flavour. Its name had its origins in the novel The Count of Montecristo, by Alexandre Dumas, enormously popular with cigar rollers at the H. Upmann factory in Havana, where the cigars were first rolled in 1935.
“Dumas” (production name Prominent Corto, length 5¼ (130 mm), ring gauge 49) is the smallest of the three formats. It was completely redeveloped and comes exclusively for the Montecristo “Línea 1935” on the market..
